Avoid Back Pain by Stretching
Stretching exercises is one of the best back pain remedies which promotes healthy joints, muscles and bones and helps with fluid and blood flow. Stretching exercises is the action of expanding the muscles, which straightens and properly aligns your spine. Stretching properly is important otherwise you run the risk of tearing tissues, muscles, ligaments, or tendons which is extremely painful. To help you avoid this we will explain a few workouts to help you stretch those muscles properly to achieve positive results.
Starting with the neck, rotate your head forward, left, back, to the right and then forward. Repeat this two or three times and then reverse by starting with the right side first and repeat two or three times.
Next move on to the shoulders. Stand up straight and rest your hands on your hips. Now rotate the shoulders in slow motion backwards five to ten times and then and to the back up to ten counts. Next, perform the same actions; yet rotate the shoulders in slow motion toward the front.
To stretch the upper back, start by standing up straight. Grip your hands, joining them and extending them behind the back. Next, raise the hands up, out, and stretch as far as your body will allow. Count to five, lower, and move to your starting position and repeat this two or three more times.
Continue to stand up straight to stretch the arms. Raise the arms to shoulder height and make big about five circles first forward and the backwards keeping the arms at shoulder height. Then stand straight and lift your right arm and rest the tips of your fingers on the left shoulder. Use your free hand and push it against the opposite elbow. If possible, lower the fingers down the length of your back while pushing the elbow. Count to ten and perform the same with the left arm.
And finally to stretch the waist, stand with your hands on your waist and turn and stretch to the left five times and then do the same to the right side. Now stretch from side to side five times.
Depending on your physical flexibility, additional stretches to relieve back pain can be done while lying on a flat surface and stretching your legs and arms.
