How many days a week should I do Pilates to see results?
Also, how long should I do Pilates each day?
I have a list of about 15 of my favorite Pilates exercises and I do at least 10 reps of each exercise. Is this good enough? Also, I do at least 20 minutes of cardio on my elliptical everyday, yesterday I did 40 minutes. And yes, I eat a very balanced and healthy diet. By incorporating Pilates into my routine, how long should it take for me to see results?
The results from Pilates are not instant. A quote from Joseph Pilates is:
“After 10 sessions you will feel a difference. After 20 sessions you will see a difference. And, after 30 sessions you’ll have a whole new body”.
I can confirm that once you have started to feel and see a difference it really is motivating.
As for doing 10 reps of each Pilates exercise – that is perfect. It is all about quality and not quantity.
I have some on-line Pilates based exercises to do at your desk. They are FREE, professionally put together, fun to do and really work!

Whilst the results may not be as instant as you would like, they will stay with you in the long term.
