Im thinking of joining the TA..but before i even apply i need to get fit…?

I want to get into a fitness routine but there are 2 things that are slowing me down…….

1. Im very unfit! Probably havent done any proper exercise in the last 3 years.

2. I do shift work which is 12 hours, 6-6, 3 days 4 nights 3 off.
So time is a problem.

If your in the TA or Regular or another armed force please send me an email on starting a fitness plan, i cant access the army website on work pc because it wont let me.

I want something which is low on time but has high effect and prehaps do lots of cardio on my days off?

If it helps, im 24 years old, 5′11, 16 stone(100KG i think), 36-38 waist(so i know im overweight, gone up from 32 waist to a 36-38 in the last 5 years)

Also i cannot do 1 pull up(chin up) because of the belly and no upper body strength. Please help

Thanks for reading.

WHAT a good idea , our local TA has a lot of shift workers in its ranks .so your shift patten will not be a problem. as for getting fit first why? they all have brilliant fitness programmes . they will advise you the best way to go about it . not all members are super fit
